Amniotic membrane is part of the placenta and is the tissue closest to the baby throughout development in the womb. The amniotic membrane used in OcuGraft is donated from healthy successful births by consenting healthy mothers as a part of their predetermined birth plan.

The amniotic membrane tissue in OcuGraft has natural therapeutic actions that help damaged eye surfaces heal. Eyes treated with OcuGraft have less scarring and less inflammation. The amniotic membrane in OcuGraft is thin and clear like the tissue on the surface of your eye and protects your eye’s damaged tissue while inserted.

OcuGraft is used to treat ocular conditions such as dry eye syndrome, keratitis, corneal ulcers, chemical burns, recurrent corneal erosion, epithelial defects and other ocular surface diseases such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
